The event organised by Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg (MLU) forms part of the international workshop “Power Couples? Collaborations at work and at home, ca. 1750–1920s”, and is dedicated to exploring the dynamics of collaborative work within partnerships.

Central to the discussion are questions of visibility and recognition: Who receives public attention, who remains in the background – and what structural conditions shape these inequalities? The event will examine how collaboration is organised in academia, the arts, and society, and how conceptions of roles influence the perception of achievement.
